1. Definitions:

The Company / Lessor: Hermanos Valerio Rent Car (HV Rent Car).

Client/Tenant: Person signing this contract and responsible for the vehicle, payments and compliance.

Authorized Driver: The client and the persons registered by HV Rent Car in the contract.

Vehicle: Unit identified in this contract, with its keys, plates, accessories and documents.

 

2. Requirements: Only authorized drivers with a valid license and at least 25 years of age (or 23 with special conditions) are permitted to drive. HV Rent Car may verify identity and documents. False or omitted information will result in termination of the contract and charges for damages.

3. Deposit and Payment: Security deposit by card or cash. The customer authorizes HV Rent Car to charge: rental, extensions, missing fuel, tolls, fines, damages, keys, special cleaning, loss of use, towing, and administrative fees.

4. Vehicle Use: Permitted use: personal or legal business use on paved roads. Prohibited: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, competitions, driving instruction, taxi use, towing, overloading, off-roading, beaches/rivers, tampering with odometers or GPS. Border crossings require written authorization.

5. Fuel: Full-to-full scheme. If you return with less fuel, a fuel and service fee will be charged.

6. Mileage: unlimited per day unless otherwise agreed.

7. Fines and Tolls: These are the customer’s responsibility. HV Rent Car may pay and recharge these fees for an administrative fee. 8. Insurance and Liability: Minimum legal coverage and optional extras with a deductible. The customer is responsible for tires, glass, keys, accessories, and damage due to misuse or prohibited use. Loss of use will be charged for days out of service.

9. Accidents or Breakdowns: Immediately notify HV Rent Car and the police. Do not move the vehicle without authorization. Failure to comply with this point voids coverage and makes the customer responsible.

10. Cleaning and Smoking: Vehicle must be returned clean. A special cleaning fee will be charged for excessive dirt. Smoking is prohibited; deodorization will be charged.

11. Return and Extensions: Return at the agreed-upon date, time, and place. Extensions must be paid by the due date. Delays incur fees and possible repossession of the vehicle.

12. Inspection and Personal Items: Inspection upon delivery and return. HV Rent Car is not responsible for items left in the vehicle.

13. Cancellations: The policies published on hvrentcar.com apply.

14. Jurisdiction: The laws of the Dominican Republic govern the disputes. Disputes must be submitted to the courts of HV Rent Car’s registered office.

15. Signatures: The customer declares that he or she has read and accepted this contract and authorizes charges to his or her card. Customer/Tenant:
